ABOUT CHARLOTTE

Charlotte is a graduate of Wimbledon School of Art where she trained in costume, creating outfits for showgirls and dancers for live performances, as well as costumes for film and TV commercials.
Later Graduating from London College of Fashion as a Pattern Cutter
with Dennic Lo as her tutor, she has the confidence to create anything
and everything.
Charlotte has received training from London's best including Roger Pooler, formerly of Hardy Amies, Sean Barratt, the milliners of James Lock, embroiders at Lock and Co., and Kunza corsetiere of Coco De Mer.
For evening gowns and bridal outfits and corsets, Charlotte combines her experiences in costume making, with high fashion to create beautifully extravagant pieces. With special expertise in draping, and dress structures and corsetry even unusual designs are achievable. Recently a trend has emerged for 'New Vintage' gowns. Vintage is great, but sometimes it's unrealistic to hope to find a vintage gown that hits all of your design ideas, and then to find one that fits you perfectly. Charlotte can create vintage style gowns that are true to their originals, while allowing you to have a gown that is truly just for you.
All work is bespoke, couture, handmade in London and designed especially for the individual.
Charlotte is influenced by such designers as Terry Fox, Jenny Packham and Marchesa and Belle and Bunty who she has had the pleasure of working for in previous years.
She has the ability to decorate everything in sight with a style is fashionably quirky and elegantly glamorous, and inspired by vintage and historic influences. Fabrics are encrusted with jewels, embroidered with lace and reworked, and beautifully hand painted.
Charlotte also uses her unique style of embellishment to create a range of accessories including hats, handbags, shoe adornments, lingerie and jewellery.
Charlotte has recently worked in collaboration with Charlie Le Mindu, creating a small range of handbags constructed from human hair. And more recently, coats made from a mixture of PVC, lace, leather and hair. See the Charlie Le Mindu page for images from the London Fashion Week catwalk.
Charlotte uses her skills to help other brand labels, providing expertise in pattern cutting, construction, embelishment and layout, and fabric choices.
Currently working with Belle and Bunty on their beautifully designed Bridal range, and an exciting Dress-making Kit with new company Gather.
Also in progress is a range of Fascinators for London accessories designer, Anjili Shah of South Molton Street.
